A thief made of with half a gold chain after ripping it from around the neck of a 58-year-old woman on Saturday.
The victim had been walking with a friend along The Great West Road, in Hounslow, at 6.15pm, when the thief grabbed the necklace, breaking it, and then fled.
He was described as a thin black man, aged around 25, 5ft 11ins, wearing a navy top and jeans.

The ever-popular Older People's Festival continued to thrill last week with hundreds of visitors flocking to exciting activities and day trips.
Events, including the Age Concern Celebration Day (pictured), drew huge crowds and provided opportunities for the borough's over 50s to try their hand at yoga, poetry, storytelling, singing and dancing.
"Everyone's enjoying themselves so much they're already asking if we can extend the festival to two months next year," said diversity and development coordinator Seema Bhogal.

Edwardian fashion made a comeback yesterday as pupils at Hounslow Heath Infant & Nursery School continued their 100th anniversary celebrations.
Youngsters donned traditional costume and used chalk and slate boards throughout the day at the school in Martindale Road, Hounslow.
