Boozers at the Moon Under Water pub in Staines Road, Hounslow, helped set a new mark for the largest simultaneous wine tasting.

Freemasons shake hands with Sikhs

freemasons.jpgIt is an organisation famed for its secrecy but nearly 200 Freemasons came out in the open to visit a Sikh templein Hounslow.

Worshippers at the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Hanworth Road, Hounslow, welcomed 180 members of the Metropolitan Grand Lodge last Thursday.

Hounslow Extra Club (HEC) is delighted to announce an extended range of activities for young people with disabilities in the 11 to 21 age range.

The scheme offers quality activities supervised by qualified and experienced staff: arts and crafts most mornings and access to the local community in the afternoons, parks, bowling and cinema. The group leaders excel at matching the activity with the young people attending's needs, likes and dislikes.

For the fourth year running Year 10 pupils from The Heathland School have gained success as Borough Champions in the Rounders League.

Since entering the League in Year 7 the girls have remained undefeated.

Miss E Legg, Head of Year, is justifiably proud of their success because she has seen the pupils win both the Borough Champions and the Borough Tournament - for the third year in a row.

Drinkers at Hounslow's Windmill Pub will be doing their bit to help seriously ill children at a fundraiser on Saturday.

The Bell Road pub is hosting a darts contest, raffle and tombola throughout the day in aid of the Shooting Star Children's Hospice in Hampton.

More than 400 people took part in a 10km sponsored walk to raise money for Hounslow Gurdwara on Sunday.
