Joy at 'heavenly' birth

baby-Zahraa-1--.jpgMisbah Uddin supported his wife Rashida during 29 hours of labour and an emergency C-section, before the arrival of their new daughter at West Middlesex Hospital two weeks ago.

Misbah, 28, a managing director, and Rashida, 26, a support co-ordinator, were delighted with the birth of Zahraa at 11.02pm, on July 30.

Their first child weighed 6lb 13oz and despite a lot of crying at first and difficulty with feeding, the baby is doing fine now.

Rashida, originally from Chingford, in east London, moved to Hounslow two years ago with Misbah, who grew up in the area.

When deciding on Zahraa's name the couple, who live in Highlands Close, looked towards its meaning.

Rashida said: "We shortlisted names and thought Zahraa had the better meaning - lady of Jannah, Islamic for heaven."

We'd like to hear from you.
