Hounslow sports fans make it to Wembley

Hounslow Hawks basketball team got some expert advice yesterday at a Wembley Arena festival.

The Culture8 Festival was at Wembley from 3 - 8pm on Sunday and included a 'sports zone', part of the London Development Agency's Summer of Sport programme geared towards London 2012.

Hawks member Rupasha Sidhu, 12, from Heston (pictured), was among vistors who had the chance to try out rugby, parkour, basketball, self-defence and table tennis with help and advice from coaches from local clubs.

Around further 100 activities will also be put on across London in the next six weeks. For more information about what is happening in west London visit www.london.gov.uk/summerofsport
