Hounslow Animal Welfare Society is holding a Celebration of Modern Musicals night in Chiswick to raise money to rescue and rehome unwanted and unloved pets.

The concert at St Michaels and All Angels Church in Chiswick on Saturday, October 11, at 7.30pm, includes music from Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Mary Poppins, Wicked and CATS.

The concert has been devised by Rebecca Caine, already well known on the operatic and West End stage, most notably for her roles as Cosette in the original cast of Les Miserables, and Christine in Phantom of the Opera, singing alongside Michael Crawford.

Hounslow Animal Welfare is delighted to have Rebecca as an excellent kitten fosterer and volunteer. For this concert she will combine these talents to create an evening of song from some of her favourite and popular musicals to benefit the animals. She will bring with her some of her acclaimed and talented friends to guest star.

Sheila Reid is best known for playing MADGE in two series of the BAFTA nominated Benidorm for ITV. She has also starred in various musicals.

Frances Ruffelle starred alongside Rebecca in the original cast of Les Miserables playing the part of Eponine. She recreated the role on Broadway for which she won the coveted Tony Award, Helen Hayes Award, Theatreworld Award and Outer Circle Critics' Award for Best Actress.

There will also be a raffle and a sales table where you can buy Christmas cards and calendars and other items to benefit HAWS.

Tickets £15 on the door or from HAWS website, www.haws-animals.org.uk or Tel: 020 8832 7398
