You decide how to spend £1.5 million housing windfall
If you've ever fancied spending £1.5million, this could be your lucky chance.
Residents are being asked how they would use the huge sum to improve housing at two roadshows this week.
Hounslow Homes, the council's housing arm, has made the cash available to upgrade run-down estates and housing blocks across the borough.
Projects costing between £15,000 and £100,000, from new playgrounds to renewable energy sources, will be considered.
Tenants can learn more about the scheme at roadshows tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday.
They will be able to submit their ideas from October 1, when the project will be officially launched at the Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, between 5.30am and 7.30pm.
Tomorrow's roadshow is at the Bridge Link Community Day Centre on the Ivybridge Estate, Isleworth, from 2pm-5pm.
Wednesday's event is at Hounslow Library in the Treaty Centre, Hounslow High Street, from 2pm-5pm.
For more information, or to find out when the next road shows are on, call Hounslow Homes' customer service centre on 0800 085 6575.
