Halloween fun in Sutton Lane

Posted by Robert Cumber on Nov 7, 08 05:31 PM in Clubs/societies

halloween.jpgSpooky youngsters enjoyed traditional Halloween games like bobbing for apples and wrapping a mummy in Hounslow last Friday.

Dozens of children enjoyed some fiendish fun at Sutton Lane Community Centre at a themed tea and cakes afternoon.

Other games included doughnuts on a string and plunging into a bowl of flour to find hidden sweets.

Members of Sutton Lane Residents' Association baked cakes decorated as spiders' webs, pumpkins, along with treats like 'witches' fingers' (sausages in bread) and 'witches' eyeballs' (grapes stuffed in lychees).

The group holds tea and cake afternoons on the last Friday of every month. Call secretary Jane Oxley on 07963 788 454 for more information.
