Seaside fun comes to Hounslow's Cloisters Care Home

Cloisters.JPGElderly residents in Hounslow enjoyed a day at the seaside without leaving the comforts of their home last week.

Staff at Cloisters Care Home, in Bath Road, built a beach complete with deckchairs, parasols and buckets and spades last Tuesday.

Pensioners enjoyed a fish and chip lunch before having a sing-a-long to their favourite holiday tunes. They were also treated to a Punch and Judy show and ice creams.

Alex Henderson, the home's activities coordinator, said: "It's very difficult to arrange for our residents to go the beach so we decided to bring the seaside to the care home to enable everyone to enjoy a day out without having to leave the grounds."

We'd like to hear from you.
