Shoppers got a surprise when stars including Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott visited Hounslow to shoot a charity video.

Players from the north London club dressed as furry animals and hit the High Street last month to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

Soldiers from the Second Battalion, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, will take part in a homecoming parade through the streets of Hounslow on Thursday.

Troops returned to Hounslow Barracks at the end of October after six months in Afghanistan, during which seven soldiers were killed in action.

The money was raised by sponsored club members who rode in the Hounslow Skyride and the cheque was gratefully received by Jennie Whitford, Manager of Hounslow's Alzheimer's Society .

MS-House-005.jpgThe Rotary Club of Heston and Isleworth has once again come up trumps for the Hounslow branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society with £3000 worth of physio equipment and furniture for a brand new extension to the Society's meeting room.

The club has enjoyed a long and happy relationship with the Hounslow branch over many years, providing both financial and physical support on a regular basis.

Musicians from places of worship in Hounslow will be taking part in an exciting and unusual concert on Saturday 21 November. The groups, from St Michael and St Martin's Church, the Laxmi Narayan Hindu Temple in Neville Close and the Sikh Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Alice Way are presenting music as heard in worship in 'Music from the Faiths'. Other contributions will include Anglican and Russian Orthodox Church Choirs, Jewish music, plus the Muslim call to prayer and Quaker silence.
