Skyride cash will benefit Alzheimer's Society

Mike Abbot, president of the Heston & Isleworth Rotary Club, was delighted to hand a cheque for £250 for Alzheimer's sufferers.

The money was raised by sponsored club members who rode in the Hounslow Skyride and the cheque was gratefully received by Jennie Whitford, Manager of Hounslow's Alzheimer's Society .

Mr Abbott said: "With over a 1000 people in the Hounslow area with dementia £250 is a marvellous fillip for the work Alzheimer's Society carries out in the local community."

The Rotary club plans more support for the Society and alleviation of dementia with a fundraising 'Race Night' on November 20th at Wycombe House Club.
