The Importance of Community Halls (Gukwoone Mixed Martial Arts)

Posted by Gukwoone Mixed Martial Arts on Dec 16, 09 03:47 PM in Clubs/societies

The World Gukwoone Federation (WGF) is not simply a martial arts institution. Our focus is on developing good high quality martial artists whilst embedding winning qualities such as self discipline, focus and respect.

The WGF is also an active member of the community and strive to give something positive back to the local community in which we operate in. This is why the majority of Gukwoone martial arts classes are held at community halls.

By running our classes from community run halls we are generating an important income for our local community by utilising such facilities. In this way we are freely accessible to local residents and are able to keep our class prices low in an effort to encourage everyone to attend our training classes.

Running our training sessions in local community halls therefore benefits both the students and the local community and economy.

Students can benefit from low training fees and have easy access to the local community halls. In turn, community run halls benefit as their facilities are being utilised and help to generate an income for them.

We believe at the WGF that martial arts is not just about developing oneself but that real development is when you are able to generate a positive impact in the wider community in which you live in.

Classes run at Hammersmith, Barnes and Croyden are run in community halls. Please feel free to join us in training.
